Vesical Calculus in a Vaginal Cystocoele
نویسنده
چکیده
A Mohammedan multipara was admitted in the second stage of labour. There was delay in the advance of the head through the lower canal. Examination revealed that a normal labour was taking place, but a hard mass was felt in the anterior vaginal wall, and a cystocoele was seen to bulge below the pubic arch obstructing the progress of the head. A no. 10 male silver catheter was passed per urethrem, with the tip pointing posteriorly, and, after taking a specimen of urine, the catheter was felt to grate against a stone in the cystocoele. The bladder was incised through the anterior vaginal wall, and a stone about the size of a walnut removed. The fistula so formed was carefully sutured in two layers, and delivery completed by forceps so as to avoid prolonged pressure on the sutured wound.

متن کاملModified extensive anterior vaginal wall repair for cystocoele.
We describe a new transvaginal technique for cystocoele repair. We prospectively evaluated patients with moderate and high-grade cystocoele who underwent repair with the new transvaginal repair between 2000 and June 2009. Preoperative evaluation included history and physical examination using the Pelvic Organ Prolapse Quantification, urine culture, residual urine measurement, urodinamycs and cy...

BACKGROUND Tension-Free Incontinence Cystocoele Treatment (TICT) was introduced by Leanza-Gasbarro-Caschetto in 2001, on the basis of experimental and clinical investigations to obtain a physiologic mechanism of closure and opening of the urethra in the event of genuine stress urinary incontinence (S.U.I.) and cistocoele. TICT took origin from the previous retropubic tension-free vaginal tape (...

BACKGROUND Recurrent urinary tract infection (RUTI) is defined as three episodes of urinary tract infection (UTI) in the previous 12 months or two episodes in the last six months. The main factors associated with RUTI in postmenopausal women are vesical prolapse, cystocoele, post-voidal residue and urinary incontinence, all associated with a decrease in oestrogen. The use of oestrogens to preve...
متن کاملPosterior urethral valves with vesical calculus: A rare association
Posterior urethral valve and vesical calculus are individually among the most common causes of obstructive lower urinary complaints in children. There are very few reports of association between posterior urethral valves and bladder calculus. We report three such cases. This association of the vesical calculi with posterior urethral valves may lead to a delay in the diagnosis of the posterior u...
